Breakfast of Champions
On Tuesday, June 20th, the CREBA Young Brokerage Network (members 35 years and younger) gathered in a packed Tysons Corner conference room to hear from Cushman & Wakefield Vice Chairman, Spencer Stouffer. He shared his journey from Shannon & Luchs in 1988 through 14 years at Trammell Crow – including a hiatus from brokerage as a liaison promoting a fiber connectivity firm called Urban Media. Though not typical at the time, in 1999 he committed to the landlord side of brokerage and built a team that is largely in tact today. He attributes much of their success to honing the niche and keeping priorities in order: ‘client’, ‘team’ and then ‘self’ (recognizing that it’s counter-intuitive to commission-only brokers)!
