A dedicated philanthropist and industry leader for more than 20 years, Bruce Pascal exemplifies the meaning of the Brendan McCarthy award.
His leadership on B’nai B’rith International’s Executive Board has been wide reaching. His many volunteer missions to Cuba brought hope, joy, and important supplies to their Jewish community. And last year, Bruce combined his passionate commitment and personal relationships to unify top politicians, clergy, legal teams, and others to help drive the ultimate release of Alan Gross, a local businessman imprisoned there.
Over and over, we’ve seen Bruce’s tremendous ability to rally support for important causes: In 2014 (and 2015), Bruce served as honorary chair of the JDRF Real Estate Games. And as past president of Rachel’s Women’s Center, Bruce championed a safe house for homeless women.
Bruce’s infectious energy, positive spirit, and personal generosity has had a significant impact on our industry – and all of us lucky enough to have spent time with him. In particular, Bruce’s commitment to mentoring has guided scores of young brokers through the years. His leadership was the inspiration behind CREBA Classrooms – a program dedicated to mentoring and skill development.
Even more than his numerous contributions to the commercial real estate industry, our community, and beyond, Bruce is admired for his integrity, his humility, his professionalism, and his profound capacity to give to others.
His innate ability to bring people together has also resulted in a highly accomplished commercial real estate career. At Vornado/ Charles E. Smith, Bruce plays a major role in leasing Vornado’s over 20 million square foot office and retail portfolio in the greater Washington Metropolitan area.
Before joining Vornado in 2013, Bruce had a successful twenty- five year career at CBRE, where he was recognized as one of Washington’s top landlord brokers. Bruce was the recipient of the Greater Washington Association of Realtors “Broker of the Year” in 2009, #1 Top Producer in Washington DC for 2010, and one of the top 100 Agents of CBRE worldwide in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.
